Process and prices
Having your portrait painted in oil is a signifigant undertaking and in depth process. It requires time and patience. It is a collaboration and a relationship between subject and artist that results in a high art object that will last longer than a lifetime.
My goal with portraiture is to capture not only your likeness but your spirit as well. My paintings are not stiff photorealisitc copies but vibrant texural representations of subjects.
I work mainly from photographs that I take of you ideally in my studio so that I can control the lighting. You may decide on the background, props and clothing so that this painting truly becomes a personal expression.
Price depends on size of painting and number of subjects included. For a painting 80cm x80cm, head and shoulders the price is 1000 euros.
Price includes photoshoot, materials, meetings and painting time.
For a painting 80cm x80cm, head and shoulders, you can exprect to have your painting between 1 and 2 months. For larger paintings with more details please allow double the time.
A high quality animation of the painting process can be requested for an extra price.
